The product description suggests comparing readings with a doctor’s equipment for accuracy, so I did just that. I found the SimpliCare U60AH (the model under review here) to be consistently a few points lower than the doctor’s presumably more expensive equipment with an upper arm cuff across several readings, but this may be an issue with consistent posture. Explaining this potential postural issue requires first explaining how the cuff fits.Fitting the cuff on your wrist is easy. There are instructions provided on a small instruction pamphlet on where to secure it just below your hand, and it feels secure enough to not fall off or slip down your arm. However, proper usage of this monitor requires the wrist to be held at heart level (not above or below, but at the same height). Given the elbow exists in between the upper arm and wrist (as part of lower arm), maintaining proper height can be difficult and requires chairs and tables of proper height for your stature and relative to each other. This also means the user must maintain more careful positioning of the body compared to when using upper-arm cuffs that go between the shoulder and elbow. It’s easier to keep the upper arm still (and at heart height) without worrying about the height of your lower arm. It’s possible that limitations in my comfortable range of movement led to my wrist consistently being above or below the proper height, and that deviation from ideal position is causing the slight difference in readings compared with the upper-arm-cuff equipment. It’s important to keep the arm relaxed while reading blood pressure, and it’s also possible there was some excessive flexion or extension of my arm in attempting to keep it still at an appropriate height. All that said, if you’re using this product as directed in the product description (meaning for daily home use, but still visiting medical facilities regularly for preventative care), this can work decently well to monitor for alarming spikes or dips in blood pressure. Readings are large and clear as advertised, so I have no concerns about having trouble reading the results. The pulse rate monitor seems to work fine as well, but I find a pulse oximeter on a finger to be easier to use, and more useful overall since it’s updating in real time compared to this cuff that takes the reading while determining blood pressure and then pauses at that same reading.Aside from functionality, this seems like a durable product and the included hard case is appreciated. I’m giving this 4/5 instead of 5/5 because I think accuracy and ease of use are important for health monitoring devices, with the inaccuracy I’m seeing potentially due to slight difficulty of use. It’s still definitely a good value though. At 24 USD (as of February 2026) this is an inexpensive way for people with blood pressure concerns to perform daily monitoring.
I am really happy with this blood pressure monitor so far. It is very compact and much smaller than the bulky arm versions, which makes it easy to keep on my nightstand or toss in a bag. The readings are super fast and only take a minute to finish. It's very easy to use and pretty good price. No fancy functions, but it's clear to read the screen and works well.It seems very accurate as long as you follow the instructions and keep your wrist at heart level while using it. The screen is big and clear, so I can see the numbers easily. It even comes with a nice little carrying case to keep everything protected. Overall I am very impressed with it.
This is a good monitor. I tested it it on me & my spouse and the readings are in line with what I normally get at the doctor's office. I had some trial and error figuring out how to put the batteries in (look at the underside of the cap) and how to orient the monitor (first time I had it upside down so it was hard to read). My spouse's initial reading was off but that was because he didn't have his wrist positioned correctly. As long as the wrist is correctly positioned and you don't have on long sleeves with a snug wrist, it seems to work great. Those requirements are listed in the directions - so just read them. As soon as you press start, it begins and is done within a minute or so. It comes in a nice case. The only wish I had is that the case was large enough to hold the manual along with the monitor - so I had to save the box to keep it all together. At the current price, it's a decent deal. I'd recommend this monitor to friends or family.
One of the most important things the majority of people who buy this item need is the ability to track blood pressure. But if your memory only tracks the reading what good is it if it does not track the date, and time of day? I am sending this back. I assumed that since it had MEMORY it meant memory that was actually useful.
This wrist blood pressure cuff is very easy to use. It requires use of 2xAAA batteries for operation. It has 3 buttons, one of which is to set the Memory, Start/Stop, and User of which there is an A and B for tracking purposes. The cuff and the instruction manual give guidance on how to use it, which is to do it after some period of calm maybe for 5 minutes before use, and to ensure you raise your wrist up to the same level as your heart and not below or above it. Setting the User and hitting the Start, I'm able to have it inflate and measure my systolic and diastolic measurements. I have historical and another at-home blood pressure cuff that goes around the arm for comparison.I was positioning my arm just slightly elevated at the bottom of the heart level to be more in the middle and not too high and not too low. At first, I was getting wild fluctuations and higher than normal systolic readings. I then looked again at the images on the product detail page, and it shows the arm higher despite the images on the cuff and instruction manual showing lower position. When I set it higher like the product detail page image, I was getting more consistent readings and readings that have matched what I had historically. However, even trying to replicate it subsequently in the same session can produce off readings that ended up being higher than I expected and I don't know if it's just so fickle on the hand position even when slightly offThis is a portable convenient way to get your blood pressure, but it may be fickle with how you position your hand when doing the measurements or it can be easily thrown off. The screen and readings are displayed large and easy to read for most eyes, and I like the gauge on the left that tells you if you're in the green, orange, or red zones.
