This pulse oximeter is an easy-to-use and accurate device that measures oxygenation, pulse, and the perfusion index (PI%). There are several nice features that set this instrument apart from other oximeters. The PI% is a measure that I wasn’t familiar with. According to various sources it measures the strength of blood flow to peripheral sites that include fingers and toes. With a pulse ox that you’re using at home, the PI% tells you how strong the sensor is reading your levels. If it’s below .4% your hands are probably too cold to get a good reading. So warm them up and try again. I got the best reading from my middle finger on either hand. Even though the right hand works, the display is set up to read more easily from the left hand. I also like that you get a waveform view of heart rate. Other pluses include a case (photo 1) that includes space for a wrist strap and AAA batteries. Being able to carry extra batteries ensures that you can always use the device even if the batteries you’re currently using go bad. The batteries are easy to install. The back easily slides off revealing the battery chamber and allows you to place the batteries (photo 2).
5-Star Review: SimpliCare Pro Fingertip Pulse Oximeter SpO2 Pulse Rate & Perfusion Index OLED Display (C101A2)Picked this up to have a quick-read pulse ox at home and it's been spot on. I've been comparing it side by side with my Apple Watch and the readings are very close - usually within 1-2% on SpO2 and a beat or two on pulse rate. The difference is this thing gives you a reading in seconds instead of waiting for the Watch to do its thing. Clip it on, instant numbers. The OLED display is bright and easy to read, and having the plethysmograph waveform on screen is a nice touch - you can see the pulse wave in real time so you know you're getting a solid read and not just a guess. The perfusion index is a bonus feature I didn't expect at this price point. It gives you an idea of blood flow strength at the sensor site, which is useful for knowing if you've got a reliable measurement.Build feels solid, the spring clip is firm without being uncomfortable, and the auto shut-off saves battery when you forget to turn it off. Comes with a decent carrying case too.For $23, having a reliable pulse ox on hand is just peace of mind. Whether it's checking on a family member who's feeling off or just keeping tabs on your own vitals, this reads fast and accurate. I recommend it to anyone who wants a dedicated oximeter without relying on a smartwatch.
As a 40-year-old woman who likes to stay on top of my health (and let’s be honest, sometimes worries a little too much about it), I wasn’t sure what to expect when I ordered the Pro Fingertip Pulse Oximeter (C101A2). After using it for a few weeks, I can confidently say this little device has become a dependable part of my wellness routine—and I truly appreciate having it close at hand.Right out of the box, I was impressed by how professionally packaged everything was. The oximeter came with a premium case that feels sturdy and protective, which made me feel like this wasn’t just a flimsy gadget but something built to last. For anyone who’s ever fumbled around in a drawer trying to find a health tool months after buying it, having that case alone is worth a lot.Simple, Clear Readings on a Bright OLED DisplayOne of the first things that stood out to me about this pulse oximeter is the OLED display. It’s crisp, bright, and shows information clearly even in low light. The screen displays SpO₂ (oxygen saturation), pulse rate, and perfusion index (PI) all at once. That might sound like a lot of numbers, but everything is easy to read—large, with great contrast—and I never felt confused trying to understand what I was looking at.The inclusion of the plethysmograph waveform is something I didn’t even know I wanted until I saw it. It adds another layer of reassurance, especially on days when I’m feeling short of breath or just curious about how my body is functioning during a workout or after a long walk.Quick, Comfortable, and AccurateThis fingertip pulse oximeter is incredibly easy to use. All I have to do is slip my finger in, press the button, and within seconds I have a reliable reading. It’s lightweight and comfortable enough that I don’t feel any pressure or discomfort—even during repeated checks. For someone who might check multiple times a day (especially during a cold or allergy season), comfort really matters.I also appreciate how fast this device responds. There’s no waiting awkwardly or wondering if the reading is stuck. It’s instant—and that quick feedback makes it feel much less intimidating or clinical than other devices I’ve tried in the past.Auto Shut-Off and Long Battery LifeI’m the kind of person who forgets to turn things off, so the auto shut-off feature earns serious points in my book. After a short period of inactivity, the oximeter powers down on its own, saving battery life without any extra thought from me. This small convenience really adds up over time. The battery life is impressive too. I’ve used this device multiple times over several weeks without needing to change the batteries, which makes it feel even more reliable and ready whenever I need it.A Premium Case That Makes Storage EasyLet’s talk about that premium case again for a moment because it really stands out. It’s compact, zippered, and perfect for storing not just the oximeter but also spare batteries or a small instruction card. I toss it in my gym bag, in my nightstand drawer, or take it with me when we travel. It keeps everything neat, dust-free, and ready to go.Peace of Mind for Everyday LifeWhat I love most about this device is how it gives me peace of mind. Whether I’m checking after a strenuous workout, tracking changes during allergy season, or just curious on an ordinary day, I feel more in tune with my body when I use it. It’s empowering to have that information at my fingertips.I also appreciate that it’s something the whole family can use. My husband and teens have all tried it out, and the readings are consistent and easy for each of them to understand. It’s become a sort of health gadget that we all reach for without hesitation.Final ThoughtsThe Pro Fingertip Pulse Oximeter (C101A2) is a small device with a big impact. It’s well-designed, easy to use, and gives clear, fast results you can trust. From the bright OLED display to the thoughtful premium case and auto shut-off feature, everything about it feels intentional and reliable. If you’re looking for a way to stay informed about your oxygen levels and pulse rate—whether for health monitoring, fitness tracking, or just everyday reassurance—this oximeter is a fantastic choice. It’s become a staple in my home health collection, and I’m genuinely happy I invested in it. 💕
I ordered the SimpliCare Fingertip Pulse Oximeter (C101A2) for home health monitoring, and it has exceeded my expectations. It’s compact, lightweight, and very easy to use right out of the box. Just insert your finger and the readings appear within seconds. The OLED display is bright and clear, with adjustable orientation, making it easy to read whether you’re sitting or lying down. I especially appreciate that it shows SpO2, pulse rate, perfusion index (PI), and the plethysmograph waveform, which gives added confidence that the readings are stable and accurate. Results are consistent when compared with readings taken at a medical office. The device feels well made, and the included case and batteries are a nice bonus, so it’s ready to use immediately and easy to carry when traveling.Overall, this is an excellent pulse oximeter for anyone who wants dependable monitoring at home. Whether for fitness tracking, general wellness, or peace of mind. Great quality at a very reasonable price. Highly recommended.
This is such an easy to use little monitor that is so portable and gives me such peace of mind to have around. It's really simple, it comes with two AAA batteries that you put in and right away it's ready to use. All you have to do is press one button and it's on and then you can just put it on your finger and it calculates both blood oxygen and your beats permitted very quickly. I appreciate with this monitor too that the numbers change as they change for you, so it doesn't just come up with one number and then you have to keep doing it to get current reading. It actually updates as your heart rate and oxygen levels change. I like having this around especially if I'm doing a hard workout and want to make sure that my heart rate isn't too high and that my blood oxygen level is sufficient. I appreciate just how simple it is, I love the rotating interface so that no matter what direction my finger is, I can read what's on this. The interface is just easy to read too from the coloring and how bright it is. I feel like every aspect of this product was thought out really well and it's accurate in my experience, so I think this is a very good value and I'm very happy that I got one.
